Lake Mead Overnighter....

Friday night was our monthly scout overnighter for the Deacons. We decided to go to Lake MEad and go out on a boat. Overall it was a lot of fun, but if you break it down there were some not too pleasant moments. Like the 20+mph constant wind blowing up the cove picking up sand and pelting your face. Or not eating till 9pm when the pizza was bought at 5:30pm...hence this first picture. Who says you have to go to the Jensen's home to get wood fired pizza?
Well since it was so windy most of the boys only got a few hours of sleep, I know of at least one that didn't sleep at all and they were all up well before 6:30am. After having breakfast and letting the boys swim and play around in the cove, they wanted to go out boogie boarding. So we had them break down camp and get ready for some fun. All the boys tried it and had fun being pulled around on the board behind the boat. (They all tried except for Aaron who was sick.) By the time we got back to the cove from boogie boarding they were ready to load up and make the two trips necessary to get everything to the dock and loaded. After getting the boat back on the trailer and all the equipment loaded back into the trucks we pulled out. After about two minutes of pulling out this is what the back of my car looked like....the only one not sleeping was me and the one boy using my phone to take the pictures. (Thanks Austin, you did a good job taking the picture for me.)
